My gorgeous niece, Lillian, turned one year old on January 10th. After much prodding and poking, I finally got some of her one year pictures from my mom. She is the happiest, sweetest baby. As you can see, she has a bunch of teeth, the better to eat big kid food with, which she just loves. Her first word was "duck", much to the chagrin of both mama and daddy. She also says "uh oh", waves hi and bye, makes great animal sounds, like...duck, of course, snake and baby T-Rex, which is oh-so-ferocious. The only thing she doesn't love so far is the sippy cup and the walking. She just moves so fast and nimbly when she crawls, I don't think she sees the point quite yet.
Happy birthday, Lillian. I wish I could watch you grow every single day.
